An increase in staffing, a provincial police force, and better service to rural and remote Alberta.
That’s the basis of a new blueprint, put forward by the Provincial Government.
Justice Minister Tyler Shandro says that small detachments like High Level, would benefit, as they could more than triple in staffing, under the model.
He also says that talks with Municipal Leaders have been stressed that no extra costs would come forward.
