The Alberta government is giving businesses advice as they prepare for stage one of the province’s re-launch.

Economic Development, Trade and Tourism Minister, Tanya Fir, says the information on the website will help businesses open while also following public health guidelines.

“As businesses reopen, we’re committed to making sure they have the information they need to operate during the pandemic and get people back to work,” says Fir.

“We expect businesses to follow these safety measures so that we can continue to reopen our economy while protecting the health and safety of all Albertans.”

According to the government’s website, stage one allows businesses such as those in retail, restaurants and coffee shops, golf courses and more to re-open as long as people can maintain  physical distance of two metres or more.

Fir also says the new website is interactive.

“We will have a link to a government funded organization that connects small businesses with free advice to access government programs in a one-on-one setting,” explains Fir.
