Precautionary boil water advisory issued for Paddle Prairie

Residents and businesses in the area of Paddle Prairie are being asked by Alberta Health Services to boil water for at least one minute before consuming.

This includes:

  • drinking,
  • brushing teeth,
  • cleaning raw foods,
  • making ice,
  • things that are produced using water.

No boiling of water is needed for washing clothes or for bathing. It is recommended hand-washing be done with soap and after drying your hands apply hand sanitizer that has more than 60% alcohol.

The sampling and testing of the drinking water will continue by AHS Environmental Public Health officers as they monitor the situation. There is no timeframe as to when the advisory will be lifted.
