The Fairview RCMP caught a suspect believed to be involved in a robbery on Saturday morning.
According to the detachment, 23-year-old Chance Banner entered the Jewelry Box and Giftware store with what appeared to be a gun and demanded money.
The store clerks did not suffer any physical injuries.
“This occurrence was solved quickly thanks to information provided by the general public” says Fairview RCMP Corporal Sebastien Fleury.
“Community engagement and public collaboration with the RCMP goes a long way towards keeping our community safe and the RCMP appreciates that.”
Banner, who lives in town, has been charged with:
- Robbery with a firearm (x2)
- Assault with a weapon (x2)
- Pointing a firearm (x2)
- Possess weapon dangerous to public peace
- Possession of a prohibited firearm
- Fail to comply with conditions (x2)
