Peace River’s Massier Ready For WHL Season

The Western Hockey League regular season will have a different look to it but a local player in the league says he’s looking forward to the experience.

Peace River’s Carter Massier will be playing in his third season in the WHL with the Regina Pats. The Pats along with the other Saskatchewan and Manitoba based teams (Swift Current, Saskatoon, Prince Albert, Moose Jaw, Brandon and Winnipeg) will play a 24 game schedule in a “bubble” format in Regina that will start on March 12.

Massier has been training in Calgary for the last few weeks while waiting for when the season will start and says he’s hoping to have a bounce back season after injuries limited him to just 17 games last season.

We talked to him about his thoughts on the East Division bubble, what hobbies he has off the ice, his pre-game routine and more.
