Peace Regional RCMP lays charges in fatal car crash in Cadotte Lake

In the early morning of November 23rd, Peace Regional RCMP responded to a fatal collision involving a pedestrian in Cadotte Lake. The accident took place on highway 986.  A 21 year old female, of Cadotte Lake, was found who had succumbed to injuries that the RCMP believe to have been caused by the collision.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, 33 year old Aaron Ross Yellowknee  of Slave Lake, has been charged with a number of offences, such as impaired driving causing death, dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death, failure to stop at the scene of an accident, operation of a vehicle while disqualified and failing to comply with conditions of recognizance.

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in the Peace River Provincial Court on November 26th.
