A new Primary Care Paramedic program will be available starting this fall at Northwestern Polytechnic.
It will be a year long program that will give the region another career pathway into health-care and aspiring first responders.
The program features online instruction as well as 10-weeks of on-site lab learning at the NWP Health Education Centre located in the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital.
Students will learn about pre-hospital care, emergency medical services, and how to provide critical care in emergency situations.
