RCMP officers in Beaverlodge are investigating a fatal accident that happened near Wembley on Monday night.
According to police a northbound pickup truck attempted to pass a northbound semi truck on Highway 734 when it rear-ended the northbound semi, causing it to spin out into the southbound lane, where it was then hit by a southbound semi truck.
The driver of the pickup, a 32 year old man was pronounced dead on scene.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
