The La Crete Lumber Barons and Sexsmith Vipers will go at it in the quarterfinal round of the NWJHL playoffs. La Crete is the number two seed in the playoffs after finishing the regular season with a 34-5-3 record for 71 points. Sexsmith meanwhile is coming off a win over the Fairview Flyers in the play-in round, the Vipers swept the Flyers in the best-of-three series. The Lumber Barons won all six meetings with the Vipers during the regular season.
