My friend Sally Sinkhole

I make a habit of walking to the station rather than drive and I would say usually I accomplish that four out of five days during the week. Thankfully it is not a long walk and I get to take in some sights, sounds and fresh air before starting my day at the station. One of the sights has been a part of my daily walk since I moved to Peace River.

This is my friend Sally and it is indeed a small sinkhole located just across the road from the station. I will say, this is nothing personal to anyone named Sally, It is just a catchy name that rolls off the tongue.

I think I’m Sally’s only friend as I say hi to it every morning before crossing the road. Sally may have a smoking problem as I tend to notice the odd cigarette butt, I don’t partake but wont tell Sally what it can and can’t do.

Thankfully I don’t have to feed Sally as it is fed a steady diet of leaves that fall off nearby trees and soon the snow will be plenty to keep Sally full.

Now that Sally has been revealed, I hope it gains more friends and I will continue to share stories about Sally for as long as possible.
