A fun family-friendly movie with a star-studded cast.

Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank, follows Hank as he is the new Samurai in a village but he knows nothing about being an actual samurai. Over the course of the movie, he will meet Jimbo who will help him learn and grow as he figures out what it means to be a samurai and to protect the village and its people.

I first heard about this movie a little while ago through the trailer, and with Samuel L. Jackson, Micheal Cera, and even Gabriel Iglasies there was bound to be a laugh or two. Which there was. Although this is a kids’ movie some jokes had me snickering as well. I think it is always a good sign when your movie can entertain a wide variety of demographics. So, the parents will also have a good time at the theatre. Along with typical slapstick, there were plenty of fourth wall breaks and references. George Takei even said OH MY!

Not only will you be laughing but visually entertained as well. The animation was very well done. If I think to myself that I would hang up a screenshot of a part of this movie on my wall…I think they have done something good.

I also did some research about the film afterwards I found out that the premise is actually based on the 1974 Movie Blazing Saddles with Mel Brooks. They didn’t dishonor their source material either because Mel Brooks is also in this movie as the voice of the Shogun and I heard that he was quite involved in the process of the movie.

If you are still curious and want some more info I have included the trailer for you to give watch below. But, overall, I would definitely say to check it out!
