The Municipal District of Peace held their regular Council meeting on Tuesday night.
CAO Barbara Johnson says the MD is among three jurisdictions pursuing a Regional Fire Department.
The MD would join the town of Grimshaw and the Village of Berwyn in the Agreement.
The municipalities are moving forward with a Memorandum of Understanding, and are taking steps towards creating an agreement for Fire Services in the area.
In the meantime, the fire departments in Berwyn and Grimshaw are holding recruitment open houses during Fire Prevention week next week.
The Barbeque will be on at the event.
