The Municipal District of Fairview is the latest local government to offer a break to residents.
Like other towns, Counties, and MD’s, the MD of Fairview is offering a three-month deferral on: water, wastewater, and garbage collection bills.
In a statement, the MD was clear that this deferral is not a cancellation of payments, but it means that anyone not able to pay their bills on time will not accrue any penalties for late payments.
The deferral option will be in place until at least July 1 but the statement says council will review the situation as it progresses.
