The Municipal District of Greenview has shared the results of their public engagement regarding proposed solar energy projects.
Their online engagement page attracted 219 visitors, with 184 completing the survey.
Among the respondents, 69 were strongly opposed to developing renewable energy projects in the municipality.
Additionally, 92 participants felt that any approved project should not exceed 10 acres in size, and 91 believed that a solar project should not be allowed even if it could coexist with existing agriculture.
The MD emphasized their commitment to thoroughly evaluating any large-scale renewable energy projects, considering the interests of both residents and the agricultural industry.
