Manning Town Council Highlights

Manning town council met on Wednesday night.

The main issue covered was the Mask-Covering Bylaw, which was tabled to this meeting.

It has been tabled again until after the Federal Election.

CAO April Doll, in her report, stated that Animal Control has been busy with two cats turned into the town.

Both cats were returned to their owners.

And, street sweepers have completed their work, and crack sealing has been budgeted.

Also, the debate of fee increases to the ATCO Electric Franchise Fee was present at Manning Town Council on Wednesday night.

A vote on increasing the fee to 12% was defeated, but a vote to have the fees remain at 6% was passed.

The Town states that the Franchise Fee means an estimated $79,000 in revenue for the town for Infrastructure projects.
