Alberta Health Services is bringing their mobile mammography unit to High Level.
It will be setup at the Northwest Health Centre on August 18-20.
This will allow women ages 50-74, the group most at risk of developing breast cancer, to have local access to mammography services.
AHS says it’s part of their screen test program to improve access for breast cancer screening in northern Alberta communities where mammography is not readily available.
Residents can book an appointment or learn more about the program by calling 1-800-667-0604.
