The results are in!
In our most recent Trending 55 Newsroom’s Poll of the Week, we asked if you felt the COVID-19 restrictive measures announced by Premier Jason Kenney will help reduce the spread of the virus.
An absolute majority of 53.9 feel the measures are not restrictive enough.
26.6 percent voted to say that the measures are too restrictive, and 19.5 percent believe they will be effective in limiting the spread of the novel coronavirus.
For this week’s question, we learned this week that the federal government’s spending plan for the 2020-21 fiscal year will result in a $381.6 billion deficit.
This is expected to be the biggest single-year deficit in the country’s history.
We want to know, do you feel the situation warrants the extra spending, or does Ottawa need to tighten its purse strings?
