If you live, or have immediate family, in Mackenzie County, there could be financial support available to you for your post-secondary education.
The county posted on its Facebook page that it is accepting applications for its bursary program.
According to eligibility rules, it is open for first-time university/college/trade school students, students returning to school, between the second and four years of study, and mature students can also apply.
For every $500 of bursary money awarded, the student must commit to working in Mackenzie County for three months.
In order to qualify, students must either reside in the county, or immediate family has to be living within Mackenzie’s jurisdiction.
