Little Buffalo Wildfire Update from Peace Regional RCMP

Little Buffalo, Alta. – At approximately 2:30 p.m., in the area of Little Buffalo, Peace Regional RCMP were notified of a fire growing rapidly due to high winds and was putting the community of Little Buffalo in immediate risk.

At approximately 3:00 p.m., RCMP were notified that the fire had jumped the highway and residents of Little Buffalo have no access in the direction of Peace River and must evacuate toward Red Earth Creek if they need to leave.

RCMP, Fire and other support services are en route and already on scene and urge residents of Little Buffalo to follow directions of first responders and Emergency Management employees.
