It’s a week devoted to getting people to talk.

Mental Health Awareness week is this week, with a number of events happening.

It establishes courage for adults and teens to speak out, with concerns to their mental state.

Needing to talk, especially after COVID, is being addressed with this week, and resources are reaching out saying “It’s OK to talk”.

Sandra Mackenzie is the Project PEACE Manager with the Holy Family Catholic and Peace River School Divisions.

She talks about adults and teens maybe needing to talk, the theme this week, the timing of talking, especially after COVID, and events happening, including Hats On for Mental Health (May 4), and Green Shirt Day (May 6).
