High Prairie Peace Officer Lyndon Moore has been charged with assault-related offenses, stemming from an incident two years ago in Calgary.

The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team investigated an arrest that happened, where police was checking identities of two men, when one tried to escape.

While running through the parking lot, the man was struck by a police vehicle and taken into custody on Canada-Wide warrants.

The man suffered broken ribs and a fractured wrist in the incident.

Moore has been restricted to “Desk Duty”, pending an appearance in court, early next month.
