High Prairie Regals Fold

The High Prairie Regals of the North Peace Hockey League have folded.

The NPHL was informed by the team of their intention to fold last night.

The team had been dealing with financial problems and a shortage of players.

They lost 12-0 to Manning last Saturday and were fined $1000 by the league because they only showed up five skaters and a goalie.

The Regals had two games scheduled for this week, at home on Thursday against Manning and on the road on Saturday in Grimshaw.

League officials will meet today to come up with a revised schedule.
