High Level RCMP investigate weapons offence
High Level, Alta. – On May 24, 2023, Western Alberta District’s Crime Reduction Unit were assisting in crime reduction and public safety efforts in High Level when they witnessed one male remove a machete from his pants and begin engaging with another male.
Sherman Providence (20), a resident of Chateh, was arrested with the following charges:
· Carrying concealed weapon
· Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
· Fail to comply with release order condition
Providence was arrested and held for a Judicial Interim Hearing where he was remanded with a court date of May 29, 2023 at the Alberta Court of Justice in High Level.
As this matter is now before the courts, no further updates or details surrounding the incident will be provided.
