High Level RCMP Crime Reduction Unit execute search warrant and lay numerous charges
High Level, Alta. – On Feb. 25, 2023, High Level Crime Reduction Unit (CRU), with the assistance of High Level General Duty and RCMP Police Dog Services, executed a search warrant on a residence. Police arrested three individuals located inside.
As a result of the search, the following was seized:
- 160 grams of suspected methamphetamine
- 33 grams of suspected psilocybin mushrooms
- 110 grams of suspected cocaine
- A replica firearm (pellet gun), bear spray, collapsible baton, and a restricted firearm (9mm handgun) reported stolen out of British Columbia.
Ashley Ducharme (37), David Waniandy (38) and Danielle Bulldog-Mercredi (35), all residents of High Level, have been charged with numerous offenses, some of which include:
- Possession of a prohibited weapon
- Possession of stolen property
- Tampering with serial number of firearm
- Possession of crystal methamphetamine and cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
After Judicial Interim Hearings, all three accused were released on conditions and their next court appearance is at High Level Provincial Court on March 27, 2023.
