Habs Alumni Preparing For Game In Falher

The Montreal Canadiens alumni game is happening in Falher on Thursday.

Shawn Belle will be one of the players for the Habs in that game, he says doesn’t know what to expect.

“The alumni games are usually a lot of fun and sometimes they get pretty competitive. Right now I’m on the ice every day and I’m coaching here in Edmonton, just preparing myself mentally more than physically. This is probably my first time fully with the Canadiens alumni. I quite often do stuff with the Oilers alumni since I am from Edmonton.”

Belle says he does alumni games like this “quite often” and the game should be a fun event.

“Getting to meet some new people out there, I think the crowd will be pretty good. I think there’s some players that obviously are a bit of a blast from the past like Stephane Richer, Brian Skrudland and Mathieu Dandenault just to name a few. Montreal’s been one of the most popular franchises for a long time and they travel well so I think it’s going to be a really fun experience.”
