Our profiles of local golf courses continues as we look at the Mighty Peace Golf Club.

Dave Allan from the course says their preparations for this year were a little challenging thanks to mother nature.

“We’re probably at least two and a half weeks behind our normal schedule for where we would be at right now, but it’s not too bad. We had a little bit of ice damage here and there but overall the course is shaping up pretty well. It’s dried out now, we’ve had some drier weather and we’ve been getting lots of golf traffic out.”

The Mighty Peace is an 18 hole course located in between Peace River and Grimshaw.

Allan says they have some very different and unique holes.

“I’ve always liked number 3 as the green comes into the treed area there. It’s well guarded by the trees on the West side it just really frames the green nicely and the bunker out on the front left side. Number 11 is an interesting hole. It’s not a long par 4, but it’s treed on both sides and has a green as you come around the corner and approach into it.”
