The Heart River Golf Course in Nampa is the subject of our latest golf course profile.
Kate Blakely is with the course and says it’s quite challenging but has some other amenities there.
“We also have a public campground with quite a few sites and a day use area with a camp kitchen that people can rent. I think after the winter we had where it was so cold and not being able to do winter sports that often outside, it was a challenge. I think now that the weather’s nice, people should get out and enjoy the short summers that we do have.”
Blakely says hole number 8 on their 9-hole course is a popular one with golfers.
“You start on an elevated tee box and then it’s a dogleg straight over the pond to an elevated green. It’s definitely one of the most challenging holes and the views from the tee box are probably one of the best on the course. Most of the holes are fairly tough but I think number 8 is the most popular, everyone remembers that one.”
