The Spirit River RCMP says four people passed on Friday following a helicopter crashing in a farmer’s field in Birch Hills County.
Officers responded to a call from an emergency location transmitter that was dispatched by a Robertson R44 helicopter.
According to a media release, the Mounties have secured the crash site and are waiting for investigators with NAV Canada and Occupational Health and Safety to arrive.
The cause remains unknown and the detachment says an investigation is ongoing.
