Those flying out of the Grande Prairie Airport will have a new flight option! The discount airline Flair announced it will offer non-stop service from Grande Prairie to Vancouver and Toronto.

Flights to Vancouver will begin August 1st, on Wednesdays and Sundays. Toronto flights will start August 4th and leave on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Flights will be carried out on Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

The announcement makes Flair the first direct service to major domestic centres outside Alberta for the Grande Prairie region.

Chair of the Grande Prairie Airport Commission, Fletcher Bootle is excited for the new addition as the pandemic caused many operational challenges. Bootle says “The Grande Prairie Airport works continuously to entice new airlines and the best possible choices for our region.”

Grande Prairie is the 20th place to serve Flair as the airline continues to expand. Updates on the new flights will be posted on the Grande Prairie Airport website.
