government-of-alberta

A new threat has hit the wheat, barley, oats, cereal grains and corn sectors.

Fusarium head blight, or FHB, is a fungal disease that would affect development, reduce yield, and contaminate grain.

The problem is new in establishment, but risks are high, especially in Northwestern Alberta.

Mike Harding is a Crop Health Assurance Lead with Alberta Agriculture and Forestry.

Information on FHB can be found via links on the Government of Alberta’s Website.
