The Fairview Flyers and North Peace Navigators will not be playing their exhibition game scheduled for Friday.
According to a statement on the Flyers’ Facebook page, one player tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday.
The statement goes on to say that since receiving notification of the positive test, players and coaches in contact with the player are self-isolating and getting tested.
The team cancelled last night’s practice and officials will be evaluating a timeline to resume team activity.
The team did not say which player tested positive.
