Every Child Matters Walk

ceremony-2

June 21, 2021 – Tonight in Peace River there will be a walk to remember the past, feel sorrow and build strength and honour the resilience of those that are impacted by the residential school system.

Everyone is welcome to join the Every Child Matters Walk; starting at 6 p.m. from the Peace River Museum to the Treaty 8 Monument. Those wanting to show support are being asked to wear orange and bring your own lawn chair if needed.

A ceremony will be held after the walk at the Treaty 8 Monument with drummers, jingle dress dancers and speeches from residential school survivors.

All Covid-19 restrictions will be followed for the event.
