Elections Alberta has started preparing for the 2023 Provincial Election.
They’re putting the call out for Returning Officers. It includes the riding of Lesser Slave Lake, Peace River, Central Peace-Notley, and Grande Prairie – Wapiti.
Returning Officers are responsible for planning, preparing, and conducting the election process for their riding.
Details are posted on the Elections Alberta website, and many towns and counties have been sharing a link on their Facebook Pages.
The provincial Election has to be held on or before May 31st of 2023.
In the previous election, Jason Kenney and the UCP won 63 of the 87 seats, after receiving nearly 55% of the vote.
Rachel Notley and the NDP collected 24 seats, and over 32% of the vote.
