
On September 4, Alberta Health Services confirmed 164 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 14,474.
No one passed away in the last 24 hours, and 242 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.
In the North Zone, there are 1,001 cases of COVID-19 and 30 people have passed away.
There are currently 171 active cases in our zone with 67 cases in Mackenzie County, 23 cases in Clear Hills County and nine in the Municipal District of Fairview.
AHS is reporting that 12,799 people have recovered from the virus.
This means that there are currently 1,433 active cases across Alberta.
To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
