On September 30, Alberta Health Services confirmed 153 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 18,062.
One person passed away over the last 24 hours, and 267 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.
In the North Zone, there are 1,430 cases of COVID-19 and 35 people have passed away.
There are currently 108 active cases in our zone with 17 cases in Mackenzie County.
AHS is reporting that 16,213 people have recovered from the virus.
This means that there are currently 1,582 active cases across Alberta.
To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
