COVID-19 UPDATE: September 22

On September 22, Alberta Health Services confirmed 150 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 16,889.

Two people passed away over the last 24 hours, and 258 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.

In the North Zone, there are 1,343 cases of COVID-19 and 34 people have passed away.

There are currently 188 active cases in our zone with 45 cases in Mackenzie County, 25 in the County of Northern Lights and eight cases in Clear Hills County

AHS is reporting that 15,066 people have recovered from the virus.

This means that there are currently 1,565 active cases across Alberta.

To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
