COVID-19 UPDATE: September 21

On September 21, Alberta Health Services confirmed 358 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 72 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 16,739.

One person passed away over the weekend.

Overall, 256 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.

In the North Zone, there are 1,330 cases of COVID-19 and 34 people have passed away.

There are currently 197 active cases in our zone with 43 cases in Mackenzie County, 25 in the County of Northern Lights and nine cases in Clear Hills County

AHS is reporting that 15,024 people have recovered from the virus.

This means that there are currently 1,459 active cases across Alberta.

To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
