COVID-19 UPDATE: September 11

On September 11, Alberta Health Services confirmed 111 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 15,415.

No one passed away in the last 24 hours but overall, 253 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.

In the North Zone, there are 1,179 cases of COVID-19 and 33 people have passed away.

There are currently 213 active cases in our zone with 67 cases in Mackenzie County, 17 cases in Clear Hills County, 10 in the County of Northern Lights, and eight each in the Municipal District of Spirit River and the Municipal District of Peace,

AHS is reporting that 13,718 people have recovered from the virus.

This means that there are currently 1,444 active cases across Alberta.

To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
