COVID-19 UPDATE: September 10

On September 10, Alberta Health Services confirmed 113 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 15,304.

Five person passed away in the last 24 hours, including two in Mackenzie County.

253 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.

In the North Zone, there are 1,154 cases of COVID-19 and 33 people have passed away.

There are currently 215 active cases in our zone with 64 cases in Mackenzie County, 19 cases in Clear Hills County, 10 in the County of Northern Lights, seven in the Municipal District of Spirit River, six in the Municipal District of Peace, and five in the Municipal District of Fairview.

AHS is reporting that 13,557 people have recovered from the virus.

This means that there are currently 1,494 active cases across Alberta.

To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
