COVID-19 UPDATE: October 28

On October 28, Alberta Health Services confirmed 410 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 26,565.

Four people passed away, which means 323 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.

In the North Zone, there are 1,939 cases of COVID-19 and 35 people have passed away.

There are currently 324 active cases in our zone with six cases in the MD of Spirit River, six cases in Mackenzie County and the MD of Peace, five in the MD of Greenview, while all other jurisdictions in our area have two active cases or less.

AHS is reporting that 21,459 people have recovered from the virus.

This means that there are currently 4,793 active cases across Alberta.

To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
