COVID-19 UPDATE: November 20

On November 20, Alberta Health Services confirmed 1,155 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 43,952.  

11 people passed away, including one person in the northern zone, which means 462 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.     

In the North Zone, there are 3,052 cases of COVID-19 and 43 people have passed away.  

There are currently 651 active cases in our zone with 33 in the MD of Peace, 32 in the MD of Greenview, 12 in the MD of Fairview, seven in Mackenzie county while all other jurisdictions in our area have four active cases or less.     

AHS is reporting that 32,835 people have recovered from the virus.  

This means that there are currently 10,655 active cases across Alberta.     

To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
