COVID-19 UPDATE: November 19

On November 19, Alberta Health Services confirmed 1,105 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 42,797. 

Eight people passed away, which means 451 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.    

In the North Zone, there are 2,995 cases of COVID-19 and 42 people have passed away. 

There are currently 658 active cases in our zone with 36 in the MD of Peace, 31 in the MD of Greenview, 15 in the MD of Fairview, five in Mackenzie county while all other jurisdictions in our area have four active cases or less.    

AHS is reporting that 31,964 people have recovered from the virus. 

This means that there are currently 10,382active cases across Alberta.    

To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
