
On November 17, Alberta Health Services confirmed 773 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 40,962.
Five people passed away, which means 432 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.
In the North Zone, there are 2,901 cases of COVID-19 and 41 people have passed away.
There are currently 548 active cases in our zone with 34 in the MD of Peace, 25 in the MD of Fairview, 16 in the MD of Greenview, nine in Mackenzie County, five in Northern Sunrise County, while all other jurisdictions in our area have two active cases or less.
AHS is reporting that 30,462people have recovered from the virus.
This means that there are currently 10,068 active cases across Alberta.
To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
