On November 16, Alberta Health Services confirmed 860 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 40,189.
20 people passed away, which means 427 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.
In the North Zone, there are 2,8551cases of COVID-19 and 41 people have passed away.
There are currently 665 active cases in our zone with 43 in the MD of Peace, 30 in the MD of Greenview, 16 in the MD of Fairview, five in Northern Sunrise County, while all other jurisdictions in our area have four active cases or less.
AHS is reporting that 29,731people have recovered from the virus.
This means that there are currently 10,031 active cases across Alberta.
To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
