COVID-19 UPDATE: November 12

On November 12 Alberta Health Services confirmed 860 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 36,405. 

10 people passed away, which means 393 Albertans have now died from COVID-19. 

In the North Zone, there are 2,581cases of COVID-19 and 40 people have passed away. 

There are currently 510 active cases in our zone with 33 in the MD of Peace, 19 in the MD of Fairview, 17 in the MD of Greenview, five in Northern Sunrise County, while all other jurisdictions in our area have four active cases or less. 

AHS is reporting that 27,707 people have recovered from the virus. 

This means that there are currently 8,305 active cases across Alberta. 

To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
