On May 14th, 2021, Alberta Health Services confirmed 1,422 additional cases of COVID-19 in the province. The total number of active cases in Alberta is at 23,873. There are currently 713 people in hospital with the virus and 177 of those are in ICU.
In the North Zone for active cases, there are 212 in Mackenzie County, 64 in the MD of Peace, 42 in the MD of Greenview, 28 in Big Lakes County, 24 in the MD of Fairview, 12 in the County of Northern Lights, eleven in Birch Hills County, while all other surrounding counties and MD’s in our region have three active cases or less.
