COVID-19 UPDATE: June 8

On June 8, Alberta Health Services confirmed 64 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 48 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 7,202.

It was also reported that three people passed away in the last two days. 149 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.

In the North Zone, there are 243 cases of COVID-19 and 16 people have passed away.

There are currently 16 active cases in our zone.

AHS is reporting that 6,698 people have recovered from the virus.

This means that there are currently 355 active cases across Alberta.

To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing one’s hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
