On June 7, 2021 Alberta Health Services confirmed 127 additional cases of COVID-19 in the province.
The total number of active cases in Alberta is 4,707.
There are currently 351 people in hospital with the virus and 94 are in ICU.
For active cases in our area; there are 26 in Mackenzie County, 16 in the MD of Peace, six in the MD of Greenview while all other surrounding counties and MD’s in our region have four active cases or less.
Over 66.7% of eligible people in the province have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, and 14.3% are fully vaccinated.
The percentage of people around the region receiving at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine is:
- Falher area – 44.8%,
- Peace River area – 41.3%,
- Spirit River area – 39.4%,
- Fairview area – 37.8%,
- Manning area – 36.9%,
- Valleyview area – 36.6%,
- High Prairie area – 32.5%
- High Level area (Mackenzie County) – 13.4%
