COVID-19 UPDATE: June 17

On June 17, Alberta Health Services confirmed 48 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 7,530.

It was also reported that no one passed away. 151 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.

In the North Zone, there are 272 cases of COVID-19 and 16 people have passed away.

There are currently 29 active cases in our zone.

AHS is reporting that 6,893 people have recovered from the virus.

This means that there are currently 486 active cases across Alberta.

To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing one’s hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
