COVID-19 UPDATE: July 31

On July 31, Alberta Health Services confirmed 127 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 10,843.

It was also reported that one person passed away. 196 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.

In the North Zone, there are 557 cases of COVID-19 and 17 people have passed away.

There are currently 107 active cases in our zone with 58 cases in Mackenzie County and five in the Municipal District of Greenview.

AHS is reporting that 9,261 people have recovered from the virus.

This means that there are currently 1,386 active cases across Alberta.

To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
